Adam Skolnick is the author and co-author of 15 Lonely Planet guidebooks. He’s explored the mountains, jungles and beaches of East Indonesia, investigated the fine kitchens and distilleries of Mexico’s West Central Highlands, perused Thailand’s islands & beaches, backpacked Nicaragua’s Caribbean Coast and Rio San Juan, sipped Portugal’s wine country, and he’s been dispatched to America’s Deep South, Colorado’s Rocky Mountains and his own Los Angeles. Most recently he completed work on Lonely Planet’s Great Journeys.

Since February 2011, Skolnick has been based in Bali in preparation for another Lonely Planet gig, and  he’s been working on his first novel, to be published in 2012.
